Hi! My name is Peter Guo. I am a photographer based in Vancouver Canada, working in both digital and analog.

I am originally from Beijing China, moved to North America when I was 14. Spent two years in Michigan. After that I moved to Canada.

Most of my works here are shot by film. I got my very first film camera from my grandapa, it’s a Kiev 19 SLR that he bought back in the 80s. He also displayed some sildes, I was immediately drawn to the texture that those image could convey.

I make pictures slowly and treat the process as part of the work, not a backstage task. And I do process all my black and whit film by myself.

About Me…

I am also an aircraft avionics engineer rotated in Yellowknife, NT, Canada.

Yes, I do fix airplanes…

A warehouse or garage with metal walls and an open roller door, showing a forklift and storage shelves with containers and tools inside.
Interior view of an aircraft hangar with a small aircraft, labeled 'WIND,' stored indoors. Several blue mobile scaffolding stands and equipment are around, along with a red cone and various storage bins and tools. The hangar has a high ceiling with exposed metal beams and white insulated walls.
An airplane parked on the tarmac inside an airport hangar with the hangar doors open to blue sky.
